Ten of the Largest School Districts in U.S. are Prepared with SafePlans.
Palm Harbor, Florida (September 1, 2017) – SafePlans, a leading provider of all-hazards emergency planning solutions, announced partnerships with Polk County Public Schools in Florida, Greenville County Schools in South Carolina and Sarasota County Schools in Florida.
With these new customer adoptions SafePlans, Emergency Response Information Portal or ERIP, is now being used by two states and many of the largest school systems in the U.S. such as St. Louis Public Schools, Omaha Public Schools, East Baton Rouge Pubic Schools and the Harris County Department of Education.
“At SafePlans we are passionate about preparedness and know that nothing is more important to parents and educators than a safe school.” said Brad Spicer, Founder and CEO of SafePlans. “We are very proud to be working with our partners to help make their schools even safer.”
The projects, in close collaboration with local public safety agencies, include updating all-hazards emergency plans, security assessments, tactical site mapping, custom eLearning courses, and their nationally recognized Active Shooter Defense training system for educators.
Schools manage their emergency plans and drills, and report concerns via the secure ERIP system and the ERIP mobile app. ERIP is a secure all-hazards preparedness solution that is designated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as a qualified anti-terrorism technology. The AlerT active shooter training program is a measured approach to implementing active shooter response and prevention best practices in schools.
