Talbot County Public Schools Partners with SafePlans to Enhance Emergency Preparedness
We are proud to welcome Talbot County Public Schools (TCPS) to the SafePlans family!
TCPS was able to secure funding for our Emergency Response Information Portal (ERIP) with funds made available by the Maryland Center for School Safety’s 2019 School Safety Survey Grant Program. The first round of funds were accessible to all Maryland Public Schools during the third quarter of 2018.
How TCPS Applied for Grant Funding
Working with the SafePlans team, TCPS was able to develop and submit a comprehensive grant application – which lead to the initial award.
In addition to implementing our ERIP system, SafePlans will conduct security assessments throughout the district and connect valuable site mapping data to improve public safety agencies’ emergency response times.
Future Emergency Preparedness Funds May be Available for Maryland Schools
The Maryland Center for Safe Schools recently announced a second round of available funding for Maryland school districts – and it is anticipated that they will do a third round of funding, later this year.
SafePlans welcomes the opportunity to be a resource for your grant application, and can assist with language and cost information, if needed.
