Showcasing ERIP to the FADSS
Last month, SafePlans was privileged to feature at the Florida Association of District School Superintendents (FADSS) Safety & Security Vendor Showcase, alongside many reputable safety and security companies all offering unique solutions with the same mission in mind – preventing bad things from happening to good people.
While attendance was only available to FADSS members – spanning Florida’s 67 school districts, we were overwhelmed by the number of folks who showed up and felt very encouraged after meeting with all of the safety-minded superintendents, district leadership, and security personnel.
During the conference, our team had the opportunity to demonstrate the use of our ERIP emergency preparedness technology and highlight how it can be easily scaled across any Florida school district. We were delighted by the initial interest and feedback while presenting at the conference and have been excited to continue those conversations since the conference has convened. Our team has continued to receive calls and emails from participating school districts and look forward to solidifying more partnerships.
Questions about FL Senate Bill 7026
Many people had questions and concerns about the new public safety bill signed into action in early March of this year – Senate Bill 7026, also known as the “Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act.” We welcomed the opportunity to be a resource to any school or district administrator attempting to decipher the new law, as well as provide guidance on implementing compliant solutions.
Our team encourages anyone with additional questions regarding updates to Florida school safety policy, to follow up with our team.
Come See Us at the Next Conference
To those that we missed or did not get to substantially connect with at the conference, SafePlans will be featuring at the Florida School Boards Association/Florida Association of District School Superintendents (FSBA/FADSS) Annual Summer Conference, as an annual sponsor in June. We hope to see you there!
