SafePlans, a leader in school emergency preparedness, is preparing to release a new open source civilian active shooter defense training system. The system is known as “AlerT,” which stands for “Assess, lockdown, evade, resist and Tell.” This system will be made available to both public and private educational communities at no cost.
SafePlans founder, Brad Spicer, has developed a comprehensive system that can be readily applied to any environment. The AlerT system emphasizes situational awareness and offers age-appropriate training materials and exercises.
Mr. Spicer will be introducing this open source training system on Tuesday, May 22nd, 2018 during a live webinar. The presentation will include an in-depth look at the AlerT training system and offer insight into how your school can take advantage of it for the 2018-2019 school year.
